Meet the Team

Dr. Karen Rizzo

Karen A. Rizzo , MD, FACS is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Villanova University in 1981. She went to Temple University Medical school finishing in 1985 and completed her Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1990. She is board certified in her specialty.

While at Villanova she was a four year starter on the Women’s Basketball team, co-captain her senior year, and was the second 1,000 point female scorer in school’s history . She inducted into the Villanova Sports Hall of Fame and the Big Five Basketball Hall of Fame in 1990. She was inducted into the Northeast Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. She was the recipient of the Villanova University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Medallion in 2008.

Dr. Rizzo remains very active in organized medicine. She was President of the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery from 2001-2003, Division Chief Otolaryngology at Lancaster General Hospital from 2007-08, President of the Lancaster County Medical Society from 2008-2010, Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Medical Society Board of Trustees from 2009-2011, President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society from 2015-2016, Current Chair of the Women’s Physician Section of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Current Governor for the American Academy of Otolaryngology Board of Governors. She is a past member of the Pennsylvania Speech, Language, and Audiology Board as well. She has appeared several times on the Pennsylvania Newsmakers Show discussing relevant medical topics. She has participated in several Task Forces for the State Medical Society.

She is a member of the American Medical Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Lancaster Medical Society.

Dr. Rizzo has participated in humanitarian trips to Vietnam, Cambodia, South Africa, and Egypt. She and her husband Jay, a dentist, have 2 daughters, Nicole and Marci.

Dr. Carol St. George

Dr. Carol St. George is a 1974 graduate of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with a BS in biology and a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she completed her residency in otolaryngology in 1984. In October of 1984, she opened her own practice in York and was happy to join Dr. Rizzo’s practice in November of 2013.

Dr. St. George is very active in the community. She is a long time trustee of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and is a proud Pennsylvania representative as a delegate to the American Osteopathic Asso. Additionally, Dr. St. George is a past president of the Colonia York Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Asso.

Dr. St. George is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery.

Kimberly Kelly, Au.D.

Kimberly Kelly, Au.D. is a part-time audiologist here at Lancaster Ear, Nose, and Throat. She earned a Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the University of Florida in 2005. She completed her undergraduate training in Speech and Hearing Disorders at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she competed on the swim team for 3 years. She has 20 years of experience working with adults and children in a variety of settings, such as a rehabilitation hospital, private practice, and ENT clinics. She moved to Lancaster in 2003 for her husband’s family medicine residency. They have enjoyed raising a family here and spend much of their time traveling all over the country with their 2 daughters, Abby and Mia, for competitive Irish dancing. They are originally from Pittsburgh and are avid Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fans!

Aliana

Medical Assistant

Aliana started at LENT in March of 2024. She graduated in 2023 with her High School diploma and CTC certifications. Aliana loves what she does and loves helping others in need. 

Diane

MA/Clinical Lead

Diane started at LENT in April 2012 and is the office’s clinical lead. She has been married for over 30 years. She has two adult sons. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending her time with family and friends at the beach. 

Karlie

Office Manager

Karlie started at LENT as the office manager in March 2024. She has been married for 5 years and has two fur babies Miles (Yorkipoo) and Marley (Cockapoo). In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, wife, and friends. She loves traveling and is an island girl at heart.

Jazmine

Front Office Professional

Jazmine started at LENT as a front office professional in June 2024. Jazmine was born in Guatemala and her first language is Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves taking trips to the beach.
